Ive been "experimenting" extensively the past couple months and yes I also found the PF dry CuraƧao to be my favorite orange liquor in my margarita. But thats also with 1/2 oz of jalapeƱo infused agave. I avoid ferrand products, so I wouldn’t use it. I’ve used Clement shrub before. Was acceptable.
Triple Sec Curacao's or just Triple Sec (Triple Dry) are made with less sugar and don't use bitter orange peel. Because there's no bitterness in triple sec's they're able to add less sugar. I miss the bitterness a good curacao brings to the Mai Tai, so I like using SeƱor Curacao the best personally. On a side note - Pierre Ferrand Dry Curacao

Cointreau is a Triple Sec not a Curacao. Biggest difference is that a Triple Secs like Cointreau typically use Neutral Grain Spirits as their base (hence the absence of color).
